Since I have moved to Cali my mom insisted that I use a shade for my windshield. I used on of the reflective silver accordion ones. I love that this one twists shut and has a case to store it in.

It makes it easy and convenient. It take s few tried to get used to the twist but its pretty simple.. It is a bit thinner that the ones I have tried before but thought I would give it a fair try. I didn’t keep my car much cooler but did keep my steering wheel and seat from getting scorching hot. It is a little pricey but works nicely with a few flaws.

My son is always wanting to go out with friends and either ride his bike or longboard. We live in areas of no street lights and he needs some sort of light not only to see where he is going but for others to see him as well. I thought this would be a great option. It came with a front bracket and a flashlight and a rear red light in a sleek box with magnetic closure. Both flashlight and rear blinker dismount easily and are adjustable. You can set the rear light to a few different light options. SInce I got it the back light doesn’t work on all the settings and seems like it is going to crack any day now. The front light has a strap and it detaches for use as a flashlight. The concept is nice but the execution not so much. The flashlight kept falling out no matter how tight we clamped it. As long as you keep the bike straight and don’t go on any hills it stayed. Since we live in the hills of Cali well that is very hard to do. The bike light could be great but it still needs a bit of fine tuning.

Run Baby Running Belt

I have taken up “speed” walking 4x’s a week and I have my phone to track my steps and time and distance. I have tried armbands and though they work fine they get sweaty. When I heard about running belts I was intrigued. I’m not a fan of the color orange but if you run or walk at night its nice to be visible. This one has two slots one on the left and one on the right. I have a Samsung 5 and a slim case. It was a little difficult getting it into the belt and of course my phone rang and I had to get it out which was a bit of a hassle. The belt fits snuggly around my waist but the clips are a bit hard to open. I like the material and the design not having zippers. At 1st I was worried about my phone slipping out but it stayed nicely.

There is also an elastic cord with a little key hook on it.  I wouldn’t carry money in it as with out the safety of a closed slot it will fall out. Yes it will I KNOW!  I would definitely use this again. The strap fits snuggly around my waist but the clips are a bit hard to open. I am a thin girl but not skinny and the belt was just right. If I weighed any more it would start to get a bit too snug. I don’t know how comfortable it would be for someone with a little junk in the trunk.

Matcha Tea is finely ground powder of green tea. It’s different in two specific ways of farming and processing: They are grown in the shade for around 3 weeks before harvesting and then the stems and leaves are removed during the processing stage. It is a specialty tea in the Japanese culture. It has a very unique traditional ceremony in which it is prepared, served and then drank. As of recent years it has been used as a flavor in foods. I love mocha from Trader Joes and this is my favorite flavored variety. There are 2 types = ceremonial-grade matcha and culinary-grade matcha. I don’t know much about how the ceremony goes but I know how to prepare it for us everyday drinkers. Now I don’t drink caffeine but on the rare occasions that I do it is always black or green tea. I got these and thought of putting them in my garden but since I moved my front yard was torn out and Will have to start fresh.
