So I have been eating healthy for many years and I love smoothies. I have noticed lately I make the same ones over and over. When I read this book I knew I wasn’t reading for the “diet” aspect of it. I wanted new and yummy ideas for SMOOTHIES. That is exactly what I got. Some are good ole tried and true ones but then there are some I haven’t ever tried.  Like the Minty Avocado Smoothie. If you like mint its pretty good. Now when you read this book you may have to put away your reservations about what you thought should be in a smoothie. Nuts? Avocado? Zucchini? Maple syrup? YES Maybe not all together but still YES. My fave from what I tried probably Very Berry Spinach Smoothie. A great read and educational and delicious. May I have some more, peeeze.

Very Berry Spinach Smoothie


1 c mixed berries

2 c fresh spinach

1/2 ripe avocado, peeled

2 T honey

1/2 t vanilla extract

1 c almond milk

Directions: Mix all in a blender until smooth and drink immediately. Maybe you should put in glass first but that is up to you.
